The Reception

Pictures before Stacy and Scott's reception.

I love taking pictures of Stacy, I never know how she'll pose next.

Stacy being lifted by her brothers Cody, Jace and Dallan.

Marinda and Stacy.

Tracy and me.

Stacy and I were so excited to see her old sewing teacher. We spent many fun hours at Charrene's house. She was such a great teacher and a great friend.

The Wedding Cake. I don't know who made it, but the topper and daisies around and on it were by my talented sister Danna who did all the flowers for the reception. Thanks Danna!

Stacy had it in her mind that there would be no shoving of cake in the face at her reception. I told her Scott had a little mischievous streak in him and he might decide to shove the cake in her face. She told me that if she asked him not to, he wouldn't. You should have seen the look of surprise on her face when he actually did smear the cake at the end of feeding her. Then she immediately got a look I haven't seen in years, not since she and Cody played "Slap the Penguin" (which is the Batman version of SlapJack) and Cody would slap it before she could. She would get that look on her face and start slapping him. Luckily she didn't slap Scott, but did take her piece of cake and smeared it on his face. I got this look, something like, "I can't believe you did that."

Stacy throwing the bouquet. When I took the first pictures, her favorite cousin Brooke wasn't even in them. All of a sudden she appeared on the far right. (Left for us.)

See Brooke reaching out for the bouquet?

And she scores! She did feel bad for the little girl who fell on the ground and ended up giving the bouquet to her.

Scott getting ready to get the garter off of Stacy's leg. We had forgotten the garter and had to send Brooke back to the house to get it.

There weren't really any single guys hanging around to catch the garter. Brockton was the only one standing there, so he was told to go over and pick it up. People immediately started clapping and cheering him on, so he started clapping for himself. Everyone started laughing, so he started laughing. It was so stinkin' cute!!!! I wish I had thought to borrow Cody and Stephanie's video camera again! For that and the cake eating.

A picture of Brockton laughing.

Brockton's pretty mommy Stephanie. Her outfit was so cute I just had to take a picture of her. The bracelet on her wrist was made for all the "bridesmaids." Though the bridesmaids didn't stand in the line. Neither did the parents. I kind of stayed close since I didn't know what to do with myself. I sent Tracy around with the camera to take a few candids.
Stacy wanted ice cream at her wedding and so it was catered by Frosted Rock which everyone seemed to enjoy.

It's a Small World!

Look who I ran into down at the Temple while taking pictures of Stacy! Jodi and her baby Kara!!! How fun! I was hoping I'd be able to see her while she was in Utah.

The Wedding Day

My baby is married!!! I will miss her soooo much! She has been my little tagalong since the day she was born! Cody was taken to intensive care soon after his birth, so I held Stacy and wouldn't let her go. She learned to sleep on me and when we got home would cry the instant I even tried to put her down. She slept on top of me or to the side of me until she was at least one. We have done so many things together. I would take her to scrapbooking classes, expos, make and take days, etc. I took her to sewing lessons and piano lessons and stayed with her the whole time. I dropped out of college to join her in the world of photography and we drove down to Orem many times for photography classes. We have had so much fun together. Hopefully she will still find time in her life to spend with me.

I was so looking forward to taking her pictures at the Temple. It was my consolation for her getting married, at least I'd get to do the pictures. After the photographer took the group pictures, I asked her to do a few more and then I'd do the rest. Well, by the time she finished, it was time to leave, so all I got were snapshots and pictures I snuck in here and there. I had Scott and Stacy pose for a few after she left, but we were running late and had to leave for the luncheon. All in all it was a great day. Stacy was a beautiful bride and she and Scott were so happy!

Here are some pictures of the happy day!

Waiting for Stacy and Scott to come out of the Temple. Dallan, Brockton, Jace, Marinda and Stephanie, with my mom and sister Paulette in the background.

Brockton and Stephanie with Stacy soon after she came out.

My children on the steps of the Temple. Cody is missing because he couldn't get off work. Dallan, Stacy, Marinda and McKeown with Jace in the back.

Stacy and her favorite cousin Brooke.

Brooke jumping for joy in front of the Temple.

Stacy and Scott - happy newlyweds. Married 09-09-09 at 9:20 a.m.

This is a picture Tracy snapped as the photographer was taking pictures.

I snapped this one as the photographer was taking pictures. That's why it's a little off center.

This is one of the poses I had them do after the photographer left.

Ah oh, Stacy looking at the photographer, Scott looking at me.

This is one of my favorites because he is leaning. It reminds me of "Pride and Prejudice" meets "While We Were Sleeping." Her dress has an empire waist and she picked it because it reminded her of "Pride and Prejudice," her favorite movie. She wanted Scott to dress like Mr. Darcy, but he declined. I muted the colors a bit to give it more of a vintage feel.

One last photo before we left.

This is a picture I snapped as the photographer was taking pictures. I gave this one a vintage feel too, by muting the colors and distressing it a bit.

Fun pictures. Fun day! Congratulations Stacy!!! I love you!!!!!!!!!!!
