Our Anniversary

Today is the day that Tracy and I were sealed for time and all eternity. Our wedding anniversary is in February and we got married in the Bountiful Temple, but we had to wait for my sealing cancellation from my first husband to come through before we could be sealed. It was a great day to be able to kneel across the altar and to know that I would have Tracy forever and that we would be able to celebrate not just one anniversary but two! Our marriage has been filled with a lot of ups and downs and a lot of stormy moments. But there have been a lot of good times too.

I remember when we got married (or sealed - can't remember which) we were told to look in the mirrors and see eternity as all married couples do. The future looks glorious and beautiful as we travel through eternity having faith in God and in each other. Then we were told to look into the corner. When we focus on other things besides our love for each other and our Father in Heaven, and our Savior, Jesus Christ, and our eternal goals, we find ourselves stuck in a corner, with no advancement, we feel trapped. We need to get ourselves out of the corner, out of thinking only of ourselves, and refocus on eternity, the heavens and each other. Only then could we be truly happy.
